One (1) set of plans and specifications will be issued to each prospective bidder at no charge. Sealed bids for the Lump Sum Base Bid will not be accepted after 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 30, 2008. MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference/Job Walk will be conducted on Monday, June 23, 2008 beginning promptly at 9:30 A.M. Only bidders who participate in the Pre-Bid Conference/Job Walk in its entirety will be allowed to bid on the Project as prime contractors. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, listed in the latest published State of California, Department of Insurance, list of Insurers Admitted to Transact Surety Insurance in This State. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the Work. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following State of California contractor's license current at the time of submission of the Bid, except in the case of a joint venture Bidder which shall be licensed at the time of notice of selection as the apparent lowest responsible Bidder: B-1.
